Brave Villager Saves Children from Burning House in Shimla
The eight-room, two-story house in Shalan village, Halau Panchayat, Tehsil Nerwa, Shimla district, has burned to the ground. A villager who risked his life to reach the scene safely removed the two children, ages five and nine, who were inside the house at the time of the incident.
While other family members were working in an apple orchard in a different village, the incident happened because one of the women had gone to the forest to gather wood. The villagers arrived at the location and began putting out the flames as soon as they received the information. The Revenue Department is working hard to evaluate the fire's damage. As of right now, the fire's estimated damage is close to Rs 1 crore.
Two-Storey House Reduced to Ashes in Mandi District Fire
Another incident in the Mandi district involved a sudden fire that destroyed a two-story slate-clad house in Sanarli, Karsog. In this incident, lakhs of rupees have been lost. Conversely, the Revenue Department's field officers arrived at the scene of the incident after receiving theinformation, prepared the damage report, and forwarded it to the administration. Four brothers, Chandra Singh, Keshav, Kesar Singh, and Devendra Singh, son of Kheema Ram, are alleged to be the owners of this house. This house contained four rooms. The aforementioned incident happened late last Monday.
Locals Took Quick Action to Save Neighboring Homes
The affected individuals initially reported the fire to Devendra Kumar, the head of the local panchayat. Pradhan notified the fire department upon arriving at the location. The fire department team arrived at the location as soon as they received the information, but they were unable to save the house. Nevertheless, the neighboring homes escaped unharmed thanks to the efforts of the locals and the fire department.
Revenue Department Assessing Damage and Providing Relief
The story goes that the ground floor of the house had a kitchen, which is where the fire started. The son of Chandra Kumar was at home when the fire broke out. Devendra Kumar, the head of the local panchayat, pleaded with the authorities to help the affected individuals as much as they could. SDM Narendra Singh reports that the victim's family has been promptly provided with a relief payment of Rs 10,000. All reasonable efforts will be made to make up for the loss per the rules.
